Transmission Maps

texture that is often called a 'thickness' map, that controls per-pixel how much light can pass through a surface from the opposite side. We use this map to drive our Skin and Transmission shaders.

 

Authoring Tips:

These maps can be baked using Substance DesignerKnald, Xnormal, and a few other standalone texturing utilities.
